Short answer: At Trails For Tails, we use all of the quadrants of dog training, (positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, positive punishment, & negative punishment)
While 'positive reinforcement only' training would be ideal, it's simply not practical in the real world. And we obviously wouldn't want to use 'compulsion only training' since we want our pups to enjoy learning and training.
Therefore, we use 'balanced training' to incorporate the best parts of all the quadrants to find the perfect fit for each dog and human.

We require a 20% deposit at the time of booking. The deposit will go towards the total of your pup's stay. The deposit is non-refundable, however, it can be transferred toward a future stay.
Yes! We understand how difficult it can be to find a boarding facility for a reactive pup, and we are glad to help! Unfortunately, if your dog is reactive with other dogs, we do have to charge a slightly higher price as we cannot take any other dogs for that period of time. Please note, reactive dog boarding may not be available if we already have other clients booked for those days. We therefore recommend booking as early in advance as possible.
We cannot guarantee whether or not there will be other dogs at our facility during your furry friend's stay, but on most given days there are multiple dogs at our facility.
The dogs have plenty of time to play with each other. However, if two dogs don't get along, we obviously separate them right away, and they will not interact with each other for the duration of their stay to ensure everyone's safety.
